Make a lasting impact on your sustainability goals.
I’m a LEED AP (BD+C) with over 10 years of experience and a Master’s in Sustainability. I’m passionate about driving measurable results. My expertise covers strategy, reporting, and data analysis across various sectors – corporate, campus, and sustainable buildings.
I believe in collaboration. I actively engage stakeholders and refine communication strategies to translate complex sustainability issues into clear, actionable solutions. As a hands-on change agent, I spearhead initiatives and projects, fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
Quick note: I previously went by Debbie. So, a lot of my professional work includes that name.
Sustainability: A Calling, Not a Choice
Many ask how I became a sustainability champion. The answer is simple: it’s the only path that makes sense.
Sustainability merges smart business practices with environmental stewardship, ensuring a healthy planet for generations to come. It’s a philosophy ingrained in me since childhood. From early recycling efforts in 90s Maryland to witnessing global connections in D.C. and Uganda, I’ve always understood the importance of acting as a responsible citizen.
My 10+ years of experience span over 20 LEED projects, corporate sustainability consulting, and leading initiatives at universities. I’m equally comfortable with technical aspects like energy and building operations and creative solutions like behavior change programs. My proudest achievement? Establishing Bucknell University’s Office of Campus Sustainability and diverting over 7,000 pounds of waste through composting and move-out donations.
Sustainability’s breadth excites me. I’m an “expert generalist,” a sustainability Jill-of-all-trades. I leverage my expertise in reporting, data, operations, and strategic planning to tackle diverse challenges.
When I’m not working? You might find me at the gym, connecting with nature, experimenting in the kitchen, devouring a good book, laughing at memes, or indulging in my love of YouTube. If you can’t find me, I’m likely getting lost in the world of music – my travels often inspire new playlists for me!
